The goal also went down well with Jude Bellingham. The England ace, who missed the game through suspension, was pictured on his feet and applauding Modric's effort.
Having taken just two points from their previous three games, a win would see Carlo Ancelotti's team join rivals Barcelona at the top of La Liga on 54 points. Hansi Flick's men still sit top, though, having beaten the European champions when they met earlier in the campaign.
