ToggleGAME 1: JDT 1-0 Kedah (28 February 2020)
The very first official match to be played at the brand new Sultan Ibrahim Stadium and it turned out to be a Charity Shield win, three Super League points as well as a clean sheet. It was a joyous start for the home crowd in a closely fought encounter to kick-off the new season.
The visitors dominated the opening proceedings with Amirul Hisyam Awang Kechik and Fadzrul Danel impressing in the centre of the pitch. Yet they would go into the half time break behind when Mauricio nodded in a pinpoint Gonzalo Cabrera cross right at the death.
JDT improved after the break and gained far bigger control on the match than they did in the opening period and easily held off Kedah to start the season on the right foot.

GAME 2: JDT 2-1 UiTM (7 March 2020)
Second game and second league win of the season was achieved for the reigning champions, albeit with a fair bit of difficulty against the Super League newcomers in UiTM FC. The university side produced a fighting performance and forced the Southern Tigers to dig deep for the three points.
Diogo Luis Santo got his first goal of the season in the 9th minute but Victor Nirennold equalised for the visitors just 10 minutes later. JDT huffed and puffed but could not put away their chances until Nazmi Faiz turned up inside the box with the superb strike to seal the win with half an hour left to play.

GAME 3: PDRM 0-1 JDT (10 March 2020)
Another nail-bitter for JDT fans against yet another unfancied opponent, this time in the shape of another newly promoted side in PDRM but like any champions do, JDT still find themselves on the winning side despite having an off day.
Brazilian striker Diogo once again coming up good with five minutes left in normal time, pouncing on the second rebound after seeing his initial penalty hit the post before Nazmi Faiz did the same on the follow-up.

GAME 4: JDT 1-1 Felda United (14 March 2020)
The final match to be played prior to the suspension of competitive matches by Malaysian Football League (MFL) and the subsequent Movement Recovery Order (MCO) that the Malaysian government put forth because of the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic.
JDT's less than favourable performance on the pitch finally caught up with them in this fourth match of the Super League season as they were held at home by Felda United. Syafiq Ahmad's opener was cancelled out by Federic Bulot's effort in the second half. A match that also saw teenager Arif Aiman making his debut for JDT.
